Galveston, TX

Ok...So I meant to update the blog chronologically, to keep you up to date to what I've been working on...
But after bagging this shot this weekend, I was all too excited not to share it with you so there it is...

Stay tuned...

It's been awfully quiet here, hasn't it?
It's been a busy summer with many interesting opps to shoot cool stuff and cool people...
In the meantime, check out some of the  aforementioned 'stuff' on my portfolio page...

Christmas, or something like it

Textures (...and shades of blue)

There's real poetry in the contrast of the faded blue paint and the rust of this sign.  The vibrant blue Texas sky completes the rhyme...

Mortality

Never am I so aware of my mortality than when I'm reminded that I'm little more than a collection of spare parts...

No direction home

I've seen the homeless from an early age.  I've always felt concern and care for them, the very young, the elderly, the mentally ill, the physically-challenged.  I've always been careful to treat them with the respect they deserve as human beings.  And I've observed that thankfully, most do...
Over the past few years I've developed a desire to do more, to help others, to give back, whatever one wants to call it...
Of all the issues I thought of tackling,  I always found myself thinking back to the homeless. Then I realized that maybe, I could help using the tools I was given.
If only my images could awaken something, evoke compassion or empathy...
This shot was taken on the streets of Hong Kong in November 2009.

Sponge Bob

As I was walking downtown in downtown Dallas, this gentleman spontaneously stopped, offered to pose for me, then just walked off (?!) Thank you, wherever you are!

Reunion Tower

First post

Reunion Tower.
For my first post, I decided to go with one of my favorite recent photos.  It may be Dallas' most instantly recognizable landmark.  Being a native New Yorker, I miss the tall buildings.  I miss, when walking down any of the avenues, the dizzying sensation one gets when looking down Manhattan's canyons.  I find myself drawn to Dallas' tallest structures; they will pop up here and there throughout this journey.
Thank you for joining me.  I hope the ride is worth your while...
